Jackson, Michigan - Dawn Foods names Kristi Kangas as senior vice president of North America manufacturing operations.

In this role, she leads the company’s manufacturing network across the United States and Canada.

She oversees about 1,000 team members and manages key areas such as safety, quality, engineering, and continuous improvement.

Kangas brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in food and agriculture manufacturing.

She most recently serves as vice president of manufacturing and supply chain for North America at Griffith Foods.

There, she leads over 1,400 employees across multiple facilities in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Before her role at Griffith Foods, Kangas worked as Chief Operating Officer at Darigold.

She also serves as President and Chief Operating Officer at Readington Farms. In earlier career roles, she holds Senior Manufacturing Leadership positions at Land O’Lakes, Cargill, Frito-Lay, and Kraft Foods.

Her broad background supports strong operations across many food categories.

Kangas holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Trine University and a master’s degree in strategy and organizational behavior from the University of Chicago.

Her education and long industry experience support Dawn Foods’ focus on safe production, product quality, and efficient operations.

This leadership addition strengthens Dawn Foods’ manufacturing strategy and supports continued growth across North America.
