San Antonio, Texas - C.H. Guenther & Son LLC (CHG) is expanding its presence in baking products and ingredients through the acquisition of House-Autry Mills Inc.
The financial details of the deal, announced on September 16, are not disclosed.
House-Autry Mills is a long-running food company based in Four Oaks, North Carolina.
Founded in 1812 as a grist mill, the company now produces a wide range of dry-mix products.
Its portfolio includes breading, batters, pancakes and waffle mixes, biscuit mixes, cornbread mixes, gravy mixes, seasonings, marinades, grits, and hushpuppy mixes.
The company serves foodservice, retail, and private-label customers.
Its operations include custom formulation, blending, packaging, manufacturing, research and development, and culinary support.
House-Autry operates manufacturing facilities in North Carolina and Georgia.
For CHG, the acquisition adds new capabilities in dry-mix products and custom flavor development.
The company says House-Autry's manufacturing and product development strengths fit well with its existing operations.
The combined businesses can support customers with product development, manufacturing, logistics, and custom food solutions.
House-Autry President and Chief Financial Officer Derrick Marconi said the company will continue to build on its long history while gaining opportunities to invest in its operations and expand its reach.
CHG is a major supplier of grain-based and frozen food products.
Its brands include Pioneer, White Wings, Sun-Bird, Mi Rancho, and Cuisine Adventures.
The company operates more than 30 manufacturing plants across the United States, Canada, and Europe and offers more than 2,500 products.
The House-Autry deal is CHG's second acquisition in 2026.
In April, the company acquired Les Aliments Mejicano, a Canadian flour tortilla manufacturer.
The latest acquisition continues with CHG's strategy of adding food manufacturers with specialized products and production capabilities.
For the baking industry, the deal shows the growing value of flexible manufacturing, custom formulations, and ingredient solutions that help companies develop differentiated food products.
