Chattanooga, Tennessee - Grain Craft has appointed Rob Gusman as sales director for wheat milling, adding an experienced leader to its sales team.
Gusman began his new role on October 5 and takes over from Matt Petty, who plans to retire in December after a long career in the baking and milling industries.
In his new position, Gusman will focus on growing key customer relationships and supporting business growth among large manufacturers, multi-location companies, distributors, and brokers.
His experience in flour sales and the milling industry is expected to support Grain Craft’s ongoing efforts to serve customers and expand its business.
Gusman is based in California and most recently worked as sales director at Miller Milling Co., where he spent eight and a half years.
Before that, he held sales roles at Aluminum Die Casting, Inc., Ardent Mills and Honeyville, Inc.
He also worked as a commodity buyer for O.H. Kruse Grain & Milling earlier in his career.
Gusman earned a bachelor’s degree in food science from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo in 1998.
His background combines food science education with experience in sales, grain buying and flour milling, giving him a broad understanding of the industry.
Jason Favrow, Grain Craft’s Vice President of Sales, said Gusman brings strong skills in finding business opportunities and building lasting customer partnerships.
Favrow also noted that Gusman fits well with the company’s sales team and is expected to support its continued growth and focus on customer relationships.
Petty’s planned retirement marks the end of a 40-year career in baking and milling.
He has spent more than 25 years with Grain Craft and its predecessor companies.
Favrow praised Petty for his long-standing commitment to customers and colleagues, noting his important role in shaping the company’s sales culture.
The leadership change comes as Grain Craft continues to build its customer partnerships and strengthen its position in the wheat milling and flour markets.
