Pico Rivera, Calif., based BakeMark acquired the Best Brands from CSM Bakery Soultions, Atlanta. The acquisition of Best Brands includes brand and its product portfolio, including bakery mixes, fillings, icings, as well as frozen bakery products.

The president and CEO of BakeMark Jim Parker said, “We are excited to integrate another industry-leading brand into BakeMark's portfolio of brands, and even more excited at the growth opportunities it will deliver to our customers.

The acquisition supports our ongoing efforts to create value for our customers and build our brands and markets in the coming year.”

Upon completion of the acquisition, BakeMark said Best Brands will join its other brands, including Westco, BakeSense, BakeQwik, Trigal Dorado, C’est Vivant and Sprinkelina.

The transaction comes a month later after BakerMark was bought by Pamplona Capital Management from CSM Bakery Solutions in mid-August. Financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed.

BakeMark provides a diversified line of products and ingredients through a network of 25 distribution centers and 3 manufacturing plants across North America. The company manufactures and distributes bakery products throughout the world across all industry channels. Best Brands offers its products to large, regional grocery chains for them to be finished at store level.
