Since Monday, World Class Bakers has been drawing customers into its business located at 690 St. Clair Ave. West in Toronto, Ontario with the chance to win big. The Canadian bakery is giving away tickets to the US Powerball lottery jackpot – estimated at $1.5 billion USD – to anyone who spends $20 or more on baked goods.

This isn’t the first time the bakery has offered this promotion. After finding the promotion was a success when it offered it close to ten years ago, the company jumped on the chance to offer its customers some incentive to try its delicious treats.

Since Monday, manager Suzanna King has said business is steady, with customers coming from locations across the Greater Toronto Area to have a chance at winning the big jackpot. Staff at the bakery, which has been selling its baked goods in the city for more than 15 years, went down to the US and purchased 500 tickets at an outlet mall.

Although Canadians are eligible to win the American lottery, a US law could stop Canadians from getting the cash back home. However, this isn’t stopping thousands of Canadians from getting their ticket for tonight’s large draw.

UPDATE: On an interview this morning with the Roz and Mocha Show on Kiss 92.5, King confirmed the bakery has 700 more Powerball tickets.
