August 15, 2016

Lebanon Valley Cold Storage and Distribution Center is a well-known American frozen bakery products storage and manufacturing company that has announced it is investing in building a new facility to keep up with demands.

The company is owned by Michael Byrd, the owner of other baking companies including Bake Crafters Food Co.

The new facility will be built on a 22.83-acre site in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. The storage and manufacturing company is planning to invest an estimated $38.7 million in the new facility, which will also create 131 full times jobs.

The first phase of the facility is expected to be completed in early 2017, and will be comprised of a 120,000 square foot refrigerated warehouse with a production area. The second phase will be an addition for bakery operations with at least three production lines being added.

Funding from Pennsylvania’s Department of Community and Economic Development is being provided to Lebanon Valley through various grants including $250,000 from the Pennsylvania First program, $262,000 in job creation tax credits that will be distributed when the new jobs are implemented and a $58,950 Workforce and Economic Development Network grant to be used to fund employee training.

The location of the new facility is ideal for shipping all over the United States and is a great opportunity for the state of Pennsylvania to increase its manufacturing and shipping jobs.
