New Berlin, Wisconsin-based Denali Ingredients has announced it will be expanding its food ingredients manufacturing capabilities, opening a 98,000-square-foot facility in New Berlin, which will produce a new line of baked inclusions for use in ice cream and various other sweet snacks.

“Adding a new capability — baked inclusions — expands our portfolio of products for our customers,” stated Neal Glaeser, President of Denali Ingredients.

The expansion is expected to double the company’s production space and improve the production flow of its extruded doughs, flakes, bits and bark products.
As part of the expansion, the company’s facility will include an improved frozen storage capacity, modern sanitation equipment and processes, a quality control lab with new testing equipment and isolated production spaces. The new facility has various environmental impact initiatives, including high efficiency boilers, water heaters and air handling systems, a robust recycling program and LED lights.

“This expansion of our portfolio, along with our emphasis on hands-on customer collaboration, provides our R.&D. team a broader platform to effectively address trends in today's complex food environment,” said Glaeser.
