August First, opened its business to the public 8 years ago, and they are a locally-owned bakery café based in Burlington, Vermont. It is devoted to baking amazingly delicious bread and they believe in providing joy to its customers when it comes to serving their delicious breads. They stick to  providing a warm, fun atmosphere where customers can relax and enjoy their delicious bread. One of their most popular breads is jalapeño cheddar, which is filled with spicy jalapeños and Vermont’s Cabot Sharp Cheddar cheese. In addition, their bakery is known for their sourdough which is a crispy, airy baguette.

August First provides an alternative to bread lovers who can’t make it to the shop. Therefore, they offer a delivery service also known as Bread peddlers. They bike through local neighborhoods on certain days of the week and deliver bread to the people. Surprisingly it’s not limited to specific hours, the bakery does this at random hours throughout the day, they say unpredictability is a part of the deliver experience.

Instantaneous joys are not as common as it used to be, and it’s fun to keep on providing it to people-stated by co-owner Jodi Whalen to Paste Magazine.
