Last year, Companion Bakery announced it was moving its headquarters from St. Louis to Maryland Heights, MO.

Earlier this month, the artisan bread company made the move official and opened its new 41,000 square-foot facility.

The new $5 million facility is home to the company’s baking facilities, a baking school, private event space, and a 60-seat café that serves breakfast and lunch on a daily basis.

The public can start taking classes at the baking school beginning in April. A combination of cooking and baking classes will be offered to all levels of expertise, including sessions on baguettes, whole grains, and more.

Companion Bakery has been making breads and pastries since it was founded in 1993. The company is dedicated to supporting small growers and producers and encouraging sustainability. Today, Companion Bakery’s products include breads, pretzels, dips and spreads, granola, cakes, cookies, pastries and more.
