The Austin Company, a leading international design, engineering, construction, design-build and site location consulting firm has announced that Jeffrey E. Dearduff has joined firm as corporate director of baking & snack. Mr. Dearduff will be responsible for leading Austin’s baking and snack industry services.

The president of Austin Company Mike Pierce said, “Jeff is great addition to our team. His experience and background serving the baking and snack industry will greatly benefit our clients and their projects in this market. We are confident that Jeff’s progressive thinking will bring even greater value to our clients and their facility projects.”

Before joining The Austin Company, Mr. Dearduff was working as chief operating officer with Gold Standard Baking. Prior to Gold Standard Baking, Mr. Dearduff was working as senior vice president of operations ARYZTA Americas. He has also served at U.S. Bakery Operations for East Balt, Inc., as Director.

Mr. Dearduff in 2014 was recognized as the Operations Executive of the Year by Sosland Publishing/Baking & Snack magazine. Additionally, he has also served in numerous other industry organization leadership roles, and has received several industry awards. He was also Past Chairman of the American Society of Baking and is on American Institute of Baking Board of Trustees.
